Grey Matters: Programme for in-house lawyers

Oxford based firm Royds Withy King are launching a programme for in-house lawyers – “Grey Matters”.

In-house lawyers are tasked with doing more than ever before and often, with limited resource. The traditional in-house legal role has developed over the years from being a transactional formality to a strategic partnership interacting with every part of the business from the boardroom to front-line business departments. Inevitably, this brings with it challenges and considerable (and often, conflicting) pressures on time.

Lots of areas of the law aren’t black or white: GDPR, gender-pay gap, employee benefits, cryptocurrency etc. Royds Withy King have set up Grey Matters to enable in-house lawyers to share knowledge, challenges and expertise around these types of issues in a safe and collaborative environment. They plan to run a programme of forums and more informal networking events throughout the year to enable in-house lawyers to come together with their peers to discuss and learn from their experiences whilst we keep them up to date with the key issues that affect them the most.

As a member of Grey Matters, in-house lawyers would also have access to a private LinkedIn group where we will share legal updates, blogs, videos and invites to all of our events throughout the year.

If you would like to join the group, please email Lucy Nash at lucy.nash@roydswithyking.com as soon as possible. Royds Withy King plan to host an exclusive launch event at Victors, Westgate Oxford on 12th July.
